To help you consider what your lasting passion could be,I am sending you pages 22 - 25 from my first book, Just Get Serious About Success (Vol 1 – 4). They are about leaving a legacy. After reading them, complete the exercise on page 25 by following the instructions on page 24. Then ask yourself how does your future obituary reflect a possible lasting purpose for you to explore?. The title of this exercise is What Will Be Published?
An alternate or additional exercise (your choice) is What Will They Say? Seriously consider and then write down what you want your family members, friends, colleagues and others to say about you at your funeral, home-going, celebration of life or other end-of-life service? How can the remarks you want said indicate a possible lasing purpose for you?
Question For Reflection & Journaling - Choose one of the two questions below to reflect on and journal about. Of course if you prefer you can consider and write about both of them.
1. If you were an award-winning photographer with a single focus, what kinds of pictures would be in your portfolio. For example, would they be pictures of babies, children, the elderly, particular flowers or animals, or sunsets or beaches. Be as specific as possible. Why was that your choice? How can it indicate a possible passion or purpose for you?
OR
2. What have you pushed yourself to do that others thought was unachievable or unachievable by you? Why did you do it? Why was it important to you? How can it indicate a possible passion or purpose for you.
